I have been in the profession since 2015 and have experience teaching key stage 3, 4 and 5. I have travelled most of my early twenties and have lived abroad for a few years. I am a friendly approachable person and am adaptable to situations.
I am also flexible with the hours I can work, be it online or, because I own a car, I am able to travel to you. I have also just become a new mum so I have a whole new perspective on learning and on life itself!
I have experience in teaching mainstream, being judged as an outstanding teacher and working in a 'good' school. I also have experience working with students with varying Special Educational Needs, as well as those who have English as their Second language, and am happy to tailor my teaching to the student.
In the past I have been a Learning Support Assistant in an Academy in Coventry and I have implemented strategies for individual students with special educational needs and have had to diversify lessons in all subjects for students on a daily basis. This eases their access to learning and ensures the student makes progress.
I am currently a full-time teacher of English in Coventry teaching 11-18 year olds.
At the moment I am a middle leader in my school with almost 7 years experience of teaching key stage 3, 4 and 5.
I have a very calm approach and will give you the time that you need to fully understand what is being asked of you. I am also happy to search for and provide resources on subject matter as long as I am given enough notice. I will take direction from my tutees, if there is something I notice I will ask the student about it and will explore and work with them if that is something we both feel is needed.
