Tutoring Experience

Many years' experience of tuition working with ages 7 to adult. I have worked as a lecturer and tutor in a tertiary college where I taught A level maths and BTEC applied statistics. Since I am completely up-to-date on GCSE and A level syllabuses both through tuition and through proofreading I prefer to work with students preparing for these exams.
Although many of my tutees are struggling to keep up with their course others require extension work. Some students work with me for many years and others only for short bursts before important exams. I am familiar with OCR, AQA, Edexcel and IB syllabuses.

Tutoring Approach

I always have a preliminary meeting which is free. This gives us a chance to meet, to identify why the tuition is required and to agree a way forward. In that way the first session has a focus and the work starts immediately on the first paid session.
I enjoy tailoring the sessions and the material to suit the individual.

I usually work one-to-one tailoring my approach to suit the student. As a result this is not a scenario where there should be a discount.
