I am a very passionate ambassador of Mathematics. I have always taught students to understand - not simply to solve, with the aim of making students mathematicians in their own right. The structure of my lessons are tailored to each individual student along with a strong focus on exam preparation.

Tutoring Experience

I am a highly experience Mathematics Tutor of 10 years tutoring mathematics to students at all levels up to Further Maths (A-Level). Every student taught has achieved higher than their predicted grades.
I have previously worked as a mathematics interventions teacher at St Andrews School and BSix Academy to help students achieve their fullest potential in their GCSE and A-Level exams with the majority achieving over their predicted grades.

Tutoring Approach

Firstly EVERY student is different. However the the first step is the same for all, which is to build confidence in mathematics and willingness to do better.
I do this by firstly understanding why the student needs tutoring and which areas we need to develop. I always simplify mathematics so that it is presented much more palatable way than its perceived and therefore students can readily understand the topic. I couple this with actual exam questions right from the beginning so that inner confidence can be built that they can tackle a real exam questions. To ensure continuity, I send weekly homework sheets which helps to add further practise of exam questions.
