I passed the Master of Jurisprudence (a course which entails writing a 50,000 dissertation) with no corrections (the highest band). I am capable of advising on large projects and on structuring/writing more advanced legal arguments. My thesis concerned freedom of expression so this is my greatest area of expertise. Though I have experience with human rights, tort law and public law.
I ordinarily teach at Durham University, where I've taught since 2020. I have taught over 500 students and marked an equivalent amount of undergraduate essays, exams and formative assessments. While working at Durham, I achieved AFHEA (Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy) awarded by AdvanceHE which is responsible for the UK Professional Standards Framework for Higher Education which demonstrates my professional experience and capacity to teach at the university level.
I can provide a tailored lesson on many public law, human rights and tort law topics. I can provide feedback on assignments and larger projects. I'm open to personalising your tutoring to meet your needs. I will tutor online. I imagine most sessions to resemble ordinary univeristy classes but in a one-on-one environment to focus on your needs (e.g., talking you through your essay/essay plan, giving you a lesson on a particular topic, like a tutorial, office hours or an oral feedback session).
