A qualified Maths tutor with a PhD degree in Maths from the University of Strathclyde. I have been tutoring and preparing students for their exams for the last 16 years. As a tutor I work with students on a one-to-one basis either in person or over video-call, helping them gain confidence in Mathematics. I can ensure that students will improve their confidence and I will provide them support in working towards improving their grades.
I have a track record in ensuring that students with conditional offers from universities receive their desired grades and students struggling within their class reach a standard which they are content with. I have a strong record of positive progress that can be further explored through my profile.
I have sixteen years of experience in teaching Mathematics at a range of levels.
My experience of teaching abroad as well as in the UK coupled with my qualification and training had given me an opportunity to perform effectively as a Math's tutor. My students get support that is tailored more specifically to their needs-which is an experience that they do not get in the classroom.
My sixteen years of teaching experience has developed my philosophy of valuing students as individuals with varying needs. I aim to provide students as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for their exams and hence for their future life.
I believe that a teacher's perceptions, beliefs and personality play a major role in creating a positive learning environment. Effective verbal and non-verbal communications, professionalism, high expectancy from the students to raise motivation and achieve targets are the traits of an effective teacher, which I have been demonstrating throughout my teaching career.
