Science has always been my passion from an early age both in terms of our current knowledge and the use of the scientific method to make new discoveries. I have studies biochemistry and chemistry for over a decade at British and German universities and much of my work has been published.
As I enjoy communicating my interest in science to other I became a teacher in 2001 and have taught full time since then.
I have taught science since 2001 and have specialised in chemistry. Most of my teaching has been in academically selective school but I have also taught in a comprehensive school.
My approach is to get the students to ask questions and to probe their knowledge of key principles in order to improve their conceptual understanding of the topics needed. I have been an examination marker for several examination board for over a decade and draw upon this to ensure thorough knowledge of all parts of the appropriate course. In addition I also ensure the student know what the examiners will be looking for in their answers.
