My son and I asked Kevin at extremely short notice to help with assessing my sons A level papers to see if there was scope for a remark.

Kevin is a brilliant and friendly teacher. The exam techniques Kevin taught my son helped him tackle difficult exam-style questions which made him more confident in his chemistry. Kevin's in-depth knowledge of chemistry and his familiarity of different exam boards make him a highly recommended teacher.

6 lessons in and firstly Kevin really knows his subject. He also knows the A syllabus, how it is taught in college and what is not taught, thus he can fill in the gaps. However most importantly he is preparing my daughter with the toolset to self analyse exam questions, problem solve and derive the correct answers.

Update: It has been a year now since my son started receiving tutoring from Kevin. Having received a 'D' on his first exam at his new Sixth Form, my son began working weekly with Kevin and has achieved an A* as a predicted grade, based on his Summer term exams. Kevin takes time to explain topics clearly and has an abundance of resources to draw upon. My son values Kevin as a tutor.

We used Kevin for my daughters A level Chemistry from August 20 until May 21.

He is without doubt the best tutor that we have used. He is very knowledgeable and passionate. He cares about the students progress and development and has access to excellent resources.

Despite all the lessons being online, our daughter received an A* and has accepted a place to study Dentistry.

His grasp of Chemistry is so good that he was able to explain complex topics to my son in a different way to his school teacher. This meant that if my son didn’t understand a topic Kevin was able to explain it in a way which was clearer to him.

Kevin allowed my son to dictate what was covered in each session, whether this was to go through practice questions or revise particular topics. Each session was then always followed by individual study questions to check understanding, which were supported by Kevin’s notes on topics, which were really useful.

Kevin is a really great tutor - a gem! He is enthusiastic, positive, extremely knowledgable of the subject and exam syllabus, and really easy for the students to relate to. He helped my son fix the gaps in his knowledge, focus his learning, improve his exam technique, build his confidence and make a big difference to his mock results. Chemistry is a difficult subject, but improving his outcomes with Kevin took the stress and worry away, so my son could give equal time to all his subjects and achieve fantastic grades at A Level.

Kevin has been an excellent tutor for my daughter Chloe who is working on her A-level Chemistry. She has been having lessons with Kevin since beginning of the year (Lower sixth) on a weekly basis. Chloe finds his lesson very beneficial, he knows the syllabus really well, and explains the concepts well and covers great details. She finds that Kevin has really helped her on her weaker areas, hence making sure she can get as many marks as possible in exam. We’ll be continuing with Kevin’s tuition through next year until the end of A-level exams. We would highly recommend Kevin to any students wishing to improve their grades.

Over a very short space of time, Kevin has already made a substantial difference to my daughter's confidence and results in AS / A Level chemistry. Kevin is professional, friendly, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. He also has a keen grasp of relevant exam techniques too. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Kevin tutored my ward twice (2 hours each time) in Chemistry A-level during this October 2014 half term. He got on well with Gabriel who found him fun to be with as it is not an easy subject. We plan to have him back to tutor for forthcoming half terms.

My child was on the brink of giving up in this subject and Kevin heaved him up! My son enjoyed the sessions, felt they were worthwhile and was able to lift his spirits at having been taught by someone who knew the subject, was sympathetic and able to hone is on what really needed to be focussed on.
