A father of two teens and a hugely experienced teacher of mathematics, I have worked in London schools of all types for over 20 years, with students from all backgrounds. I am also a published writer, so clear communication is central to all I seek to do with my students.
I have taught in London schools for over 20 years. Currently Head of Mathematics at a leading Independent school in SE London, I have also enjoyed working in large comprehensive schools and Academies, and have tutored students from right across the ability range. I've been equally proud helping students get over the line into a GCSE grade 5 as I have preparing students for A*'s at A Level and beyond.
Whether working online or in person, my approach to one-to-one tuition is to build student confidence and to help students develop and internal narrative that they really can succeed at the subject. Working with carefully prepared examples - and with access to the latest examination questions - making sessions enjoyable and showing students how they can master each topic is at the heart of all I do.
