I am a secondary school teacher and former Head of Sixth Form at a large school. I graduated with a degree in History and then completed my Masters before starting teacher training.
I have been a teacher for 21 years in two different state schools.
I have taught A Level Politics and History for over 20 years. I also teach some Sociology and Economics at A Level. I also teach History at GCSE.
I believe it is really important to build relationships with students and understand their stenegths and areas for improvement. A Levels in particular require a large amount of content so frequent low stakes knowledge testing is vital. Skills of constructing essays and arguments, with focus on the exact requirements of the exam board are also essential to what I teach.
