Hi, I’m Katrina, the founder and lead of The Education Clinic.
This isn’t just about lessons—it’s about changing lives. The Education Clinic is the product of two friends who once sat in school together, filled with aspirations and dreams who have now successfully made them a reality.
Having navigated exams with ADHD, I know firsthand how overwhelming studying can feel. But I’ve also experienced the transformative power of education. As the first in my family to attend university, I’ve seen how education can open doors and change lives. It’s not just about passing exams – it’s about overcoming challenges, building confidence, and unlocking your full potential.
After graduating with a First Class Honours in Psychology at Queen Mary University of London and completing my Master’s in Psychological Therapies at Bart’s and the London Medical School, I now work in the NHS, supporting children with a range of mental health struggles and SEN needs to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential - whatever that may be.
We are high achievers, having secured A/A* grades and studied at top Russell Group universities such as Oxbridge, UCL, Kings College, Queen Mary and Imperial College London. We’ve been through the same exams you’re preparing for, and we know your exam board inside out.
Our academic success opened doors for us - but it was not an easy straight forward journey...We faced the most recent and toughest changes in the education system—the introduction of 9-1 GCSEs, tougher A-level exams and the impact of COVID-19. We rose to the challenge and learnt how to adapt and overcome barriers put in front of us. We aced all of our exams - from GCSE to A-level all the way through to University.
We offer specialist tutoring in English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Economics and Business. We tailor lessons to your exact exam board specification - so that you are getting the most out of our experience and teaching!
My passion for education drives everything we do, and with my team of exceptional tutors, we’re here to help you succeed.
We don’t just teach; we inspire, empower, and transform the way students approach learning.
We use an A* approach to help students master essay writing and tackle difficult exam questions with ease. We use our expertise to guide students through strategies that actually work, ensuring they can write high-quality essays and confidently tacke even the toughest questions. Our expert insights are taken from examiner reports, teaching at schools, and attending GCSE/A-level conferences.
We have insider knowledge on essential exam strategies, including tips for managing time effectively, so students can tackle every question without feeling rushed. Our brain hacks focus on optimising memory and concentration, helping students recall key information when it matters most. With our tailored approach, students learn how to structure their responses effectively, develop strong arguments, and approach exam questions with a clear, focused mind.
We help students understand what examiners want from students so that they can be awarded top marks. Let's face it - as a former examiner myself, I know how hard it is to please them.
We offer tailor-made resources (which we also used for our own A-Level exams!) after every lesson. We offer our students our famous 3- step revision plan and 'How to Revise Guide' written by me based on years of experience being a student with ADHD!
If you are a Psychology AQA student - I have good news for you. I have written every single essay outlined in the AQA spec. I did this in year 13 for my own A-level revision (a few years ago) and they were all marked as A*.
Our lessons are fully focused on the exam board’s specification to ensure every bit of content is relevant to learning and most importantly covered before sitting exams. We believe you need to cover 100% of the exam board spec so that you give yourself a 100% chance at doing the best you can.
Half of our work revolves around helping students realise and believe in their potential, to be excited about the life and career they are creating through education. We believe education opens doors - because it did for us.
Consistency is key for getting the most out of your tuition hours and seeing the results you want.
We are happy to offer discounted packages and plans to work around your budge. If you are on a low-income or receiving a bursary we also offer concessions. We believe education should be accessible for all!
If what we do at The Education Clinic matches up to your expectations, please send us a request! We look forward to chatting with you :)
