Saxophonist | Music Educator | Saxophone, Piano, Theory, GCSE, A Level, University
A Little Bit About Me
My first foray into music started with the guitar, taking after my father, but I soon found my home with the saxophone.
I am dedicated to giving musicians of any age and background a musical home to grow and flourish. In pursuit of this I am also an Ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation. Who are a foundation that delivers transformative experiences through mass music events and provide equal access to music participation and appreciation for all.
With over seven years of experience in music education, I have honed my skills and knowledge to provide you with top-notch guidance and support.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced musician, I tailor my teaching methods to suit your unique needs, ensuring a seamless and effective learning experience.
After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester, I switched from academic music to saxophone performance. I have since graduated with master's in saxophone performance from both the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2021, taught by Gerard McChrystal, and Pennsylvania State University in 2023 under Dr. David Stambler.
While at Penn State University I taught a woodwind methods class to inform and inspire music education students to the diverse nature of the saxophone. I also taught individual and group lessons, coached quartets, and conducted the saxophone ensemble.
Teaching Philosophy: Inspire, Motivate, Excel
My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where you feel empowered to take risks and push your boundaries. I believe in nurturing creativity and curiosity to build confidence.
