I am lucky enough to live and work in Cornwall with my family, which is where I was brought up myself. I am passionate about making Psychology interesting and accessible to my students to aid them in achieving the best that they can with their goals be it in person or helping via video call and email support.
I have been teaching A Level Psychology for over a decade (mostly AQA). I have experience as an AQA Psychology examiner in its current specification, which I see as essential in providing insight to improving my pupils examination performance. I am currently applying for chartered status with the British Psychological Society. I also have some experience in teaching within KS3&4 as well as coaching pupils in making informed decisions with Careers support and guidance.
My approach is first to listen in order to support pupils with their individual goals. Then I will apply my knowledge and resources to make a variety of informed suggestions as to how to best progress in a way that the student will find motivating and meaningful. Assuming that a key goal is to improve examination performance, we will spend time discussing written work and considering tools that I have specifically created to help you to improve.
