I am a successful teacher of English Language and English Literature, with experience at almost every level, from tutoring KS2 students, to teaching A-Level classes, in addition to preparing students for private school entrance exams. In addition to my work teaching English, I also research Theology and Literature, and have completed a PhD in this subject area.
I have taught English in schools since 1987 and have tutored privately since 2009, having taught over 60 students over this time.
I am experienced with the GCSE and A Level specifications of all the major boards, particularly AQA. I also have a proven track record of getting my students into private schools at age 11, including Abingdon School and Magdalene College School. I am experienced with all levels of English tuition from KS3 all the way through to Masters degree level.
I work to meet the needs of my students as indviduals, and to cater my lessons to their strengths and weeknesses. It is important to ensure that lessons are fun and engaging for the student. I also provide relevent feedback for parents, in addition to the student, at every step, to ensure that they can help the student progress.
