Hello! I'm an experienced native English teacher with a Master's in Applied Linguistics, a CELTA, a PGCE (with QTS), and over 5 years of online tutoring experience.
I specialise in IELTS Speaking and Reading preparation and British English pronunciation training, including Received Pronunciation. I particularly enjoy helping students to speak fluently by identifying features of connected speech, stress and intonation.
I have many years of experience of working in education, as I am a former Primary School Teacher (phonics and reading specialist), but am now passionate about teaching English to adult speakers of other languages. I have tutored online since 2019, specialising in exam preparation, pronunciation and general conversation. I’ve worked with learners of all levels to achieve their goals, including university applicants, academics, doctors and working professionals.
I am very warm, friendly and passionate about helping students achieve fluency, clarity and confidence in speaking English. I have consistently high student approval ratings and believe that building relationships with students is key to making progress and achieving success, whatever their goals. My lessons are practical, personalised, and focused on measurable progress.
