I’m a proud mum of three boys and a girl, and I’ve called Ealing home since the start of my teaching career. My journey into education began after a life-changing sabbatical in Sri Lanka, where I taught at an orphanage, an experience that ignited my passion for teaching. I’ve since dedicated myself to inspiring students, particularly teenagers, and love engaging with them in a way that sparks curiosity and growth. Outside of teaching, I’m an avid singer and enjoy playing the piano for pure pleasure. Balancing my love for music, family, and teaching, I’m deeply committed to nurturing the potential in every student I work with.
With nearly two decades of experience as a secondary school science teacher since 2006, I bring a deep passion for making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging. As a former Key Stage 3 Coordinator, I’ve honed my ability to tailor lessons that meet each student’s unique needs, ensuring rapid improvement and long-lasting understanding. My teaching style is dynamic and interactive, fostering curiosity while helping students overcome challenges with confidence. Whether struggling with a particular topic or looking to excel, my students quickly see tangible progress and gain a newfound enthusiasm for science.
As a science teacher, I believe every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my approach to engage visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. To ensure a strong foundation, I begin with an assessment in maths and English, as proficiency in these subjects directly influences science performance. I incorporate interactive techniques such as puzzles, quizzes, and hands-on activities to get students in the right mindset for learning. By fostering an environment where students are actively engaged, I’m able to teach effectively and help them reach their full potential.
