I am a calm patient person who children adore. I get to know people really well as have masses of life experience to help me to tackle everything that may come my way.

My hobbies are going to the gym, gardening and shopping.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working in Croydon, Bromley and Sutton schools since 2003 in a variety of roles. As a Secondary trained teacher I have taught Sociology, Citizenship, RS and Humanities.

I've worked in primary for many years teaching, tutoring, supply assignments but, since moving to Thanet in 2022 , I have worked as Teaching Assistant for a slower pace of life.

I know the National Curriculum really well so
design lessons which follow the child's needs thus helping them to reach their targets. I've tutored for many years and have had many successes .

Tutoring Approach

I love working with children , well it isn't work really !

I make children work but in order to do this you need to get to know them really well and build up trust. Lessons have to be geared to their learning styles so that your sessions are fun for them in their free time. A colleague also said that bored minds dont learn and this is the best piece of advice a tutor could ever have.
I also work closely with parents as they are the ones making the investment .

Tutoring is rewarding as the child always drives the lesson I just gear them skillfully toward their target.
