Karen is a wonderful tutor she is well experienced in her field of teaching English GCSE level. Karen is also very considered of my daughters health needs and is very flexible.

Karen has Been working with my daughter who has just gone into year 11.
I asked her to tell me how Karen has helped her. This is her reply:
Karen has helped:
⁃ me fully understand what the exam boards will look for in my responses
⁃ what language to look for and how to analyse the inferences and connotations in the correct amount of detail
⁃ how to answer certain questions and what to put into those answers

I enjoy and look forward to my tutoring with Karen because:
⁃ they are very informative but also contain elements of fun
⁃ they are engaging
⁃ she explains everything and makes sure i completely understand

Karen is an excellent tutor. She is very thorough in her teaching and within a few lessons our daughter's confidence has greatly improved. She is very friendly, approachable and has been very flexible regarding our needs. Our daughter looks forward to each lesson with enthusiasm. We would highly recommend Karen!

Feedback for Karen

Karen is most professional and has a lovely, friendly, approachable manner with the children. Clearly she has vast knowledge which is evident as she teaches the children from where they are at progressing to where they need to be. The children feel free to ask her questions and they have been learning with ease quickly under her guidance in a matter of weeks. I feel confident that they will be able to pass the grammar entrance exams purely as a result of Karen's superb teaching.

Both my daughter and myself found Karen very professional ,helpful and approachable. Arrangements for lessons were always communicated clearly and Karen was very punctual . I asked for Karen's help only 8 to 10 weeks before my daughter's GCSE English and English literature exams to boost her confidence and this is what she did. In the short time available she identified areas where she could add value and was able to cover a lot of ground. I would certainly recommend Karen to anyone looking for extra support for their child in English. Thank you

I have only spent about a month with Karen and I think she is absolutely brilliant! I feel a lot more confident for my exam tomorrow from having Karen's help. Karen always had a lot of useful resources for me to use, this was also very helpful. Karen was very quick at marking my work and would give me very detailed feedback. Karen is great to work with and excellent at tailoring to suit the individuals needs. I have only been tutored by Karen for a short while now regarding my English Literature A Level, but I have noticed the progression and development already. I'd definitely recommend Karen as a tutor for anyone busy making a decision.

Karen was a very good tutor, and explained linguistic concepts with the best possible clarity. I felt that I learned far more within one hour, than I did with my own teachers over several. She was punctual and friendly. I would definitely recommend her to anybody needing coursework or exam help in AS Level English Language, and she will doubtless be a good tutor in all levels of English that she tutors.
