My son has only recently been with Karen, but since he has started, she has been really helpful with her advice and feedback. Also she is extremely organised with her lesson planners etc. He seems to enjoy his sessions. Thankyou.

We contacted Karen around 10 months ago as our son was struggling with Economics and was therefore no longer enjoying the subject. Over the coming months Karen has helped our Son so much that he started to understand the subject far better, the enjoyment and improvement in his grades then started to show. During mock exam time and now A level time he has also managed to have some additional support in Business Studies and we await his final results. Karen has been fantastic in providing him with this learning, support and confidence in the subject matter.

My son was struggling with Economics at A level, it isn't a subject which you take lightly. We had a talk to Karen and my son spoke to her about what he was looking for as well. He seems a lot more confident as the time has gone on and at the time of writing this he has sat 2 out of the 2 exams. He has one more to sit 5th June 2023. Karen has been tutoring my year 13 son in both Business and Economics for nearly a year now and he really values her help and support. Her approach is structured, organised and methodical - just what he needs! She i in parts led by him and where he feels he is struggling whilst also being proactive in suggesting areas of focus. She helps him make sense of some of the more complex concepts and together they create clear handouts and notes that have been invaluable for his revision. She is also very happy to spend time reviewing past papers etc to help improve his exam technique. Finally, she is flexible when there needs to be changes in timings etc. Would recommend to others.

Karen has been an excellent tutor in GCSE Mandarin for my 15 year old son. She is very professional and reliable and she also truly cares about her students. We are very lucky to have found her!

My daughter has recently started having lessons with Karen. She is enjoying the lessons so far and has gained some confidence in the subject.

Karen has been working with my son online this summer, to help build his confidence in A-Level Economics before he enters his final year. She established an immediate rapport with him and took the time to explore his understanding of the subject foundations. Any weaknesses were addressed through teaching and supporting documents to consolidate learning. Karen has also used past papers as a super learning and reinforcement tool. Karen's work with my son has already developed his subject confidence and understanding (after 3 lessons!) I would have no hesitation in recommending Karen as a tutor.

Karen has been really helpful since I started tutoring with her a few weeks ago. I have recently switched A-level subjects to Economics so invested in tutoring to catch up and am so pleased with Karen. She provides a nurturing environment by explaining things at the right pace, plus gives a mixture of notes and worksheets. Lockdown hasn’t been easy and my daughter needed some help especially as she was in her second year for A levels. I was very fortunate to find Karen who has been outstanding right from the first lesson. Karen is organised and structures her lessons very well wasting no time during the lesson. My daughter’s confidence has grown and the results are showing in her grades. We feel truly blessed to have found Karen and cannot recommend her enough. My only regret is I didn’t find her sooner.

Karen is an absolutely wonderful tutor to work with. I have worked with Karen for my introductory modules at university (equivalent to A-Level in depth and understanding) for Accounting and Economics. I tend to be a student able to get an A grade, but need that extra bit of assistance and confidence to get there.
Rather than diving straight in to the more difficult aspects early on, she has been helpful in establishing the foundations of the subject and building up to the more complex ideas. She has tested my understanding by working through example scenarios and using MCQ’s/ essay questions. Online teaching has contributed to my understanding even with the difficulties that COVID poses, due to how well organised and resourceful Karen is. Throughout the teaching process, Karen has been incredibly kind, patient and understanding. I would highly recommend her.

I've arranged A1 weekly economics tuition for my daughter. She is extremely pleased with the way Karen teaches, as she explains very clearly and tailors the lessons to her needs.
