I am a native French speaker from France. Born in Brittany, I grew up in Guadeloupe and studied in several French cities. I also lived in Canada, before moving to the UK more almost 15 years ago. I am passionate about promoting French language and the rich francophone culture. My goal is to help young people master another skill that will open doors for them.
I have been teaching French to bilingual children (primary school age) in the UK for 5 years. Before that, I led a bilingual French play group in the UK as well. I have taught English as a second language in secondary schools in France. I was a French TA in a university, and also taught adults and children at the Alliance Française in Canada.
I adapt my approach to the needs and personality of each learner. Younger students will thrive with play-based activities, allowing them to learn while having fun. Exam preparation, on the other hand, will require a more structured approach, whereas adults may need extra humour to be put at ease. Whoever I tutor, my sessions are interactive and based on objectives. We want to see progression and enjoy the process!
