I have enjoyed teaching for many years, and the students I have taught have often gone on to achieve their best results. I started teaching as a post graduate at the University of York, and for the last 25 years I have taught in private and state schools in the UK and America. I have coached students through successful applications (inc. statements and references) to top universities in the UK and America, including for successful Oxbridge entrance.
I am a teacher of 25 years experience in private, state schools, and at the open university. I have met the learning needs of pupils from the age of 9 to 19 - from those learning to read for the first time to Oxbridge entrance.
I specialise in English (inc. early literacy), English Literature and the History of Art.
I have also successfully taught younger dyslexic students to read and helped 8 - 12 year olds to make steps changes in their English reading, comprehension and writing for entrance to selective private schools.
To help pupils to enjoy learning and to achieve the best possible results.
