I am studying Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London where I am deeply passionate about physics and mathematics after I achieved A*'s at A-Level.
I aim to help my tutees achieve these same results by supporting them in their education from guiding them through homework questions, to explaining concepts that they have yet to fully grasp, to answering any questions beyond the scope of their specification.
I have been tutoring A-Level Maths and Further Maths for one year and GCSE Maths and Physics for two years. In addition, I volunteered as an academic mentor, helping high school students improve their maths skills. My experience has taught me how to adapt to the unique needs of each student and inspire them to achieve their potential.
My teaching philosophy revolves around problem-solving. Rather than encouraging students to memorize solutions, I focus on helping them understand why they need to take certain steps in their work. This method allows students to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence. I also tailor my teaching style to the needs of each student. I start by identifying any gaps in their foundational knowledge and work to rebuild that understanding. For those who are ready, I provide challenging questions that push them to think critically and stretch their abilities.
