I am a professional musician and educator, specialising in Jazz, but can play in various styles.
I play gigs with various groups & outfits around London and further.
Music is a life long passion of mine, which I hope to pass on to other music lovers.
I started getting drum lessons from around the age of 6 and have always focussed on technique, musicianship & musical expression (enjoyment/emotion)
I have privately taught for 8 years, ranging from children to professional musicians.
I teach drums at Fredrick Bremer School ( which is part MISST).
I've taught in group environments during my stay at Music Land Yamaha in Bromley.
Gig experience ranging from large festivals to Ronnie Scotts.
I Believe it is very important to create personal approach for each and every student.
To see what their goals are in Music, and what music they find most interesting and inspiring.
From there, core fundamentals of the instrument can be introduced (Rudiments, Feel, Timing, Musicality ).
Both listening and playing the Music is important.
Depending on the students goals we can take a graded route or personally tailored route. (although for school aged students I would recommend the Trinity college Grade book sylabus )
