I am a flexible and adaptable tutor with ample tutoring experience in History and English Language. I am also a history specialist and practising teacher with a degree from the world Class UCL Institute of Education. Further to this, I examine for the Edexcel exam board in history and I am therefore well placed to help my students understand the complexities of the GCSE specification and go above and beyond their predicted grades.

Tutoring Approach

I adapt my tutoring to my student's needs and use both didactic, lecture-style teaching as well as more student-centered approaches and discussions. Crucially, I believe it important to engage student's curiosity when working in a 1-1 environment and therefore I tend to try and use diverse materials that challenge and engage my students. I aim to take my students above and beyond the exam specification and use my knowledge as an examiner to ensure that my students fully understand the requirements of the course.
