Hi,
My name is Josh! I am a local secondary school teacher who qualified to teach in 2020. I currently teach both PE and RE and love to see my students enhance their subject knowledge over the year with me. I enjoy sports myself and manage a local football team which provides great enjoyment for me and my teammates.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in education since 2015 in a variety of roles that has strengthened my skill set. I have seen 2 separate cohorts through their GCSE within PE as well as currently taking CNAT Sports Studies. I have taught both PE and RE for the last 4 years with students ages 11-16, as well as having tutoring experience of 6 years. In the last two years I have taken on role of head of year 9 within my school this has provided me with experience in managing children and supporting them through their learning journeys.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach focuses on engaging students through enjoyment for learning. I like to get to know my students and find out what things they taken enjoyment from and use that to motivate and engage learning. I use positive praise and encouragement to keep morale high and work hard to form a bond with all students.
