Hello, my name is Jordan and I am a fully qualified mathematics teacher currently working in Manchester. I have a wealth of experience tutoring students with a range of different abilities, from KS3 all the way up to A-level.

I have always taken great pride in the grades my students achieve and I can’t wait to work with you to create a personalised tuition plan to help you meet your goals, whatever they may be.

Tutoring Experience

•I am a fully qualified maths teacher with over five years experience teaching in a wide variety of schools and settings.

• I have tutored a wide variety of students of all age groups and abilities, up to and including A-level maths.

• Prior to obtaining my PGCE I undertook a maths subject knowledge enhancement course in order to analyse the best pedagogies to apply when teaching different mathematical topics.

• I have an in depth understanding of GCSE examinations and what is required of students as a result of my years of marking papers.

Tutoring Approach

My role as your tutor is to quickly and effectively identify and address any gaps in your mathematical knowledge. Within my lessons we will never be wasting time going over things you already know!

My vast experience teaching within schools to a wide range of abilities has given me an understanding of the common misconceptions that arise within each topic - the common mistakes.

As a result, I will address these misconceptions before they arise and take your understanding to the next level.

Alongside this, having marked hundreds of GCSE papers, I know exactly what examiners are looking for. Within my sessions, I will teach you how to answer exam questions to maximise your marks to achieve the highest grade possible - the grade you deserve.

Finally, as a qualified maths teacher, I have the confidence to be adaptable within lessons. If I am confident that you fully understand a topic, we will move on! This is to ensure that you get the most out of each and every one of my sessions.
