Outside of tutoring I have had a career in software engineering working at a both venture backed startups and larger financial firms which can help students understand the real life applications of their studies.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style. My approach combines patient guidance, interactive exercises, and real-world examples to help students understand mathematical and computing concepts at a deep level. I always start with an introductory lesson where I assess the students current ability and their academic and exam result goals. The structure of following lessons depends on the needs of the students but I tend to use a mixture of direct spoken tuition and past exam questions. I often like to get my students to explain concepts to me out loud that they have learnt as that helps them clarify their thinking and cements ideas more thoroughly. If the student would prefer another approach then I am very open to working with them in a style that suits them however I do in general try to push students towards best practices when it comes to learning!
