Hi, my name's Jonny and I recently graduated from the University of Sheffield after having completed a 3 year Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I've always had a passion for History, particularly when it comes to learning about the events and cultures which often have become synonymous with different civilizations and historic periods. I find it incredibly rewarding to share this passion with other people

Tutoring Experience

I began tutoring while studying for my A Levels, where I had the opportunity to support GCSE history students extracurricularly. In the 4 years since then, I have primarily tutored close family and friends, so that I could prioritise my own academic pursuits at degree level, whilst continuing to provide meaningful educational support. My experience has equipped me with the skills to tailor lessons to individual needs, fostering a supportive and effective learning environment.

Tutoring Approach

First and foremost, I believe that academic success can best be achieved when the student has a genuine interest in what they're learning. This is why I try to make my lessons as interactive and engaging as possible, whilst equipping my students with all of the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed.
