I am a hardworking, dynamic and creative individual who has a strong passion for teaching music. graduated Jazz, Popular and Commercial music as a guitarist from Newcastle College in 2008 and have a Music PGCE for the institute of Education in London. I regularly perform, teach and practice and emmerse myself in all aspects of music and contempary culture, I particularly live playing Jazz and Blues music
I have been teaching in inner city London schools For the past 9 years as a classroom teacher and as a peripatetic guitar teacher. I have a wealth of experience of teaching GCSE music syllabus’s and preparing students for the performance and compositional strand of the course. I have delivered a wide range of topics KS3 music to support and develop a musical experience catering to the needs of all individuals.
I am friendly and sociable individual who caters lessons to suit the individual demands of the student. I have a solid understanding of how to teach for a range of educational needs to ensure that all students develop and enjoy their learning. If possible I love teaching with the use of technology to scaffold and Support learning, and love teaching music musically and practically to make lessons engaging, fun and to maximise the desired outcome.
