I am now semi-retired, having spent over 35 years teaching the Sciences, predominantly Chemistry, to students in schools and colleges mainly in the private sector.
I am available for both short and long term tuition as required.
I am available in the evenings and at weekends as well as during the day on some occasions. I do not charge for travel and I prefer to travel to your location of choice.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught the Sciences, predominantly Chemistry, for over 30 years as well as giving private tuition over the past few years. The results achieved by my tutees have consistently been very good, often exceeding expectations. I am thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the examination boards and with the techniques necessary to be successful in the public examinations.

Tutoring Approach

My aim is to cater for the individual needs of the student and to gain their confidence at an early stage, adapting my style as appropriate. I try to ensure that the student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the course content and is also familiar with applying the techniques necessary in order to be successful in public examinations. Worksheets, books and past examination material are supplied as an integral part of the lessons.
