A teacher of 14 years, head of department and other senior roles I have a very wide teaching experience and bring a supportive and calm approach to tutoring with strong subject knowledge. As a lover of Media myself I work in the fields creatively outside education, so continue to apply practice where possible!

I have been a moderator and examiner for multiple exam boards so bring a understanding of exam requirement and how to best approach questions, exam structure etc.

I really value the opportunity to make a difference to students lives and help them gain understanding and make progress. I’m also available to teach study skills and adult learning.

Tutoring Experience

I have 14 years experience in GCSE and ALevel in teaching Media Studies, AQA/OCR/WJEC/EDUQAS and BTEC. I have maintained a Subject lead role for a majority of this time, having a very strong subject knowledge both theoretically and practically (appreciating that coursework elements are still important).

Tutoring Approach

I believe that every student is unique and will require a bespoke approach. I am accommodating to teach topics students feel less confident in, or if needed putting together a longer term curriculum to support planning for exams in a more structured manner.

Ideally our first session would be to get to know each other better in light of the areas you felt were best to focus on and the style of learning you would feel most confident with.
