I have over 6 years of experience through my PhD in information security, using my Mathematics background to contribute to cryptographic research. Currently, I am working as a post-doctoral research fellow at an academic institution. Alongside this, I work as a teaching assistant at two universities and in my spare time, I enjoy practising yoga and travelling.
I have 5 years of experience as a teaching assistant for bachelor's and master's students. This covers tutoring, marking, and exam support for applied mathematics modules and computer science.
Moreover, I have just begun a visiting lecturer position with extra responsibilities to support master's students in their dissertations.
Previously, I have privately tutored numerous primary to A-level students in Maths.
I like to be guided by the tutee, and where applicable, their guardians, to cover topics that the individual is uncertain about.
I believe the main stumbling block with Maths is confidence, and I hope to bolster students' attitudes towards the subject by communicating throughout the process if something is not clear or intimidating. We can tackle this together and repeat until this is not the case.
In line with my experience, I am particularly skilled in exam support and coursework/dissertation writing.
