I have been teaching History of Art A Level since I was 24 and I have been involved in the delivery of different syllabi over the years, including the new Edexel syllabus. I specialise in students achieving their best possible results. I am very passionate about the subject and I have a thorough understanding of the A Level expectations and assessment objectives, network with my fellow Art History colleagues and examiners on a regular basis. I live in Hampstead, London but can also teach online which I have found very effective. I specialise in Renaissance, 19th and early 20th century art in the period paper.

Additionally to teaching, I spend time in our house in France, I do some art consultancy and a little gilding. I have a son, just finished Art History at university.
I can teach in person in London.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching History of Art A Level since 1987. Over the years I have built on the experience of teaching different examination boards and their requirements. I was actively involved in fighting for the new A Level, have run Art History conferences and regularly network with other Art History teachers.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on exam questions and how to gain maximum marks, following the rubric of the course. I teach visual analysis, terminology and how to access a work. With exam questions, we look at the key argument, relevant works and how to use critical texts.
