I graduated in Mathematics from Oxford University and have over 15 years of experience as a private maths tutor. Alongside my one-to-one teaching, I also work part-time at Tormead School as a maths support teacher, helping students build confidence and strengthen their understanding. Over the years, I’ve supported students from Year 7 through to A-Level, as well as those preparing for GCSEs and senior school entrance exams. My wide experience means I can adapt to a variety of needs—whether it’s boosting exam technique, consolidating core skills, or extending learning for those who want to go further.
I believe that maths is best learned in a supportive, interactive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to match their pace and learning style. I use a shared online whiteboard and an online classroom to make lessons engaging, structured, and easy to revisit—students can go back over notes and exercises whenever they need to. My aim is always to build confidence as well as competence: I want my students not only to improve their results but also to feel more positive and capable about tackling maths.
