Maths Tuition in Haslemere
  • 1st member of my family to attend Uni I am an Oxford Maths graduate and have 15+ years of experience of being a Maths tutor.
I tutor locally in person and from my home office in central Haslemere (GU27). I can also tutor online using a shared whiteboard with my students plus I provide an online classroom so that my students can find and reuse all of the exercises and notes that we share in the tutorial sessions. I have limited availability for private sessions at the weekends and some daytime slots midweek. In addition I work part-time at Tormead School as a maths support teacher.
I can help with senior school maths (years 7-13), GCSE and A-Level. Do contact me to discuss how I can help.

Tutoring Experience

I graduated in Mathematics from Oxford University and have over 15 years of experience as a private maths tutor. Alongside my one-to-one teaching, I also work part-time at Tormead School as a maths support teacher, helping students build confidence and strengthen their understanding. Over the years, I’ve supported students from Year 7 through to A-Level, as well as those preparing for GCSEs and senior school entrance exams. My wide experience means I can adapt to a variety of needs—whether it’s boosting exam technique, consolidating core skills, or extending learning for those who want to go further.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that maths is best learned in a supportive, interactive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to match their pace and learning style. I use a shared online whiteboard and an online classroom to make lessons engaging, structured, and easy to revisit—students can go back over notes and exercises whenever they need to. My aim is always to build confidence as well as competence: I want my students not only to improve their results but also to feel more positive and capable about tackling maths.
