I have been teaching for 25 years in a variety of primary schools around the Plymouth area. Teaching is in my blood. I am passionate about teaching the foundations of mathematics and English to primary school children in order to ensure they are able to understand the fundamentals and therefore are fully equipped to further their skills without losing their self-confidence and motivation.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 25 years in Sussex, Torbay and Plymouth and I have also been a Deputy Headteacher of a large primary school in Plymouth. I have taught all the primary age range from Foundation to year 6.

Tutoring Approach

I hold private lessons in mathematics and English at Key Stage 1 and 2. I also hold group sessions/clinics for up to 5 pupils. I can help your child pass their eleven plus exam for entrance in to the local grammar schools. I am specialised in teaching preschool education. I aim to help your child work independently and to challenge him/herself well beyond the expectations for their age group - in my experience if they think they can do it, they do! Allow your child to reach their potential without being held back by their peers!
