I'm an experienced maths tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience, I discovered the joy of tutoring through guiding a family friend through their 11+ maths paper, since then I have began tutoring KS3, GCSEs and A-Levels students. During the day I work full time as a data engineer in a management consultancy and enjoy showcasing how mathematics can be applied to the real world.

Tutoring Approach

I understand that often students find maths daunting and challenging often resulting in them lacking confidence. My approach is to first understand where they think their weaknesses are, then find areas where they excel and those that are challenging, to form a bespoke plan for their sessions. I start to work to build confidence by explaining the core concepts, ensuring they understand through detailed explanations which are often based on real life and watch them shine by asking them exam style questions.
Previous students have said that I am easy to understand and very approachable, as well as relaxed and kind.
