I have a bubbly nature and passion to help others! I achieved 10 A-A* grades at GCSE, obtained ABB at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and received a First Class Honours in a BSc of Medical Sciences. I am also currently studying Graduate Entry Medicine at Cardiff University. I have over 6 years of experience tutoring children, both privately and I was also a tutor at a centre for 4 years teaching and helping children from the ages of 4 all the way up to 14 with their English and Maths. I am able to build strong, positive relationships with each child and I love seeing them progress utilizing my support and knowledge. Being a young person with a friendly face, children seem to find me very approachable and tend to be a lot more open when learning.
I speak Spanish fluently and also speak Portuguese. I enjoy exercising as a hobby and have joined the cheerleading team. I also adore music and singing! I have a pet dog called Charlie :)
Tutoring experience of over 6 years, with 4 being at a tutoring centre as seen below!
Explore Learning Tutor - 4 years of experience teaching Maths, English and 11+!
I have both in-person and online teaching experience.
I have worked with groups of up to 6 children, all of completely mixed ages, ability and backgrounds.
I also have lots of experience with 1-1 teaching.
I have taught some Spanish lessons as well.
I like to tailor my teaching to each child as every individual will learn different. I will find out what your child is struggling with so we know where our main focus will be. If this is something you/the child is unsure of, I can let you guys know a key list of things they should know for their age and we can work from there.
I will ensure there is always questions for them to do alongside the teaching, as well as worked examples (I think these are very useful!). I can give homework to help them consolidate the work and also teach your child tips and tricks I have learnt over the years which I and the kids I have taught find very useful!
On the whole, I aim to not only teach, support and encourage your child but also to celebrate and recognise their hard work and effort because this helps increase their confidence and ultimately perform better.
