I am passionate about teaching and education, and have a creative and enthusiastic approach to tutoring. I enjoy working with children of all abilities, enabling them to reach their full potential. Every learner is different so I feel it is very important to ensure the learning activities suit their individual needs.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for 12 years and have experience teaching in the Foundation, KS1 and KS2 classrooms.

My tutoring experience has been in:

• SEAG Transfer Test ( former 11+/ AQE/ GL)
• P1 to P7 Tutoring
• Homework help
• KS3 maths and english support -Special needs experience working with children with ASD

Tutoring Approach

I have a friendly approach to tutoring, aiming to support students to grow in confidence and therefore achieve improved results. I ensure that each tutoring session best suits the individual needs of the learner, focussing on areas of improvement and development whilst also building on their strengths. I aim to make each session interesting and as fun as possible, through varying the learning and using creative approaches.

The sessions aim to compliment their class work, so that I am building on their knowledge and checking understanding.

Students are usually given a small amount of homework to consolidate their learning.
