Jeanette is an excellent tutor. My daughter was tutored by her for 1 year for Year 13 and achieved an A* for English Literature. Jeanette is really calm and tries to get the best out of her students. Highly recommend.

Janette has been wonderful with Edward. She really “got” him. Lessons were fun, filled with great tips and Edward really looked forward to them - no mean feat for a Saturday morning lesson! Skills rapidly improved, quickly followed by confidence and enjoyment. It was lovely to hear them chatting away on the odd occasion I over-heard. Truly exceptional teaching and we are very grateful for her support and dedication. Edward (aged 10) received unconditional offers from both Sevenoaks (for Yr 7) and Tonbridge (for Yr 9).

Janette tutored my daughter for a couple of months for 11+ English tutoring. She was very friendly, flexible, enthusiastic, & most importantly very encouraging. My daughter always happily completed her homework on her own & genuinely enjoyed her lessons. She loved her comments for her weekly work.

My son has been visiting Janette for a few weeks now for 11plus tutoring. My son has responded so well to these sessions and is always keen to complete assignments in between. We had a really wonderful experience with Janette. She went above and beyond to provide helpful guidance during our sessions and provided an easy to follow and straightforward framework to work independently between sessions. She helped our children to feel more confident in all of their subjects and they always look forward to their time with her. In addition to subject matter direction she was able to help us successfully navigate selecting and applying for schools and I'm happy to report that our children were all accepted to their schools of choice. My husband, myself, and most importantly our son, are very grateful for your help in stretching him to his limits, and this is already showing in his writing at school. Thank you also for lending him books to read during the week - he enjoys reading/being read to at home, but without your encouragement he would rather choose to sit and watch TV!

Amazing teacher !

Janette is a highly accomplished, extremely professional and personable English tutor who I would be delighted to recommend. She has managed to get my 10 year-old sports loving son to read The Hobbit for 30 minutes each evening without any encouragement which is no small achievement! She is extremely well prepared, positive and helpful.
