I have a warm, encouraging and connecting personality with excellent student rapport skills which enables me to successfully discover my students interest and passions and incorporate them into the learning materials. Having lived in France for 8 years , I fully appreciate the difficulties and the challenges of making yourself understood in another language.
My previous work background was in marketing, business administration and customer service.

Tutoring Experience

Following my CELTA qualification, 3 years teaching English as a Foreign Language in France from Beginners to Advanced level. General English, Business English, Conversation classes and preparation for TOEIC.
One to one, small groups and University classes ( 2 years working at the University of Aix/Marseille Engineering Dept)
9 years of TEFL teaching in the Uk- conversation classes, private lessons, Business English and other bespoke classes.
I have experience preparing students for IELTS, FCE, CAE and OET exams.

Tutoring Approach

Flexibility within a structure and a real desire to understand the needs, interests and passions of the student to add interest and points of connection into the lesson.
I also like to have some fun and laughter in the class too!
