I am a passionate, open-minded and creative academic professor and professional tutor in Geography & Earth Sciences and English. As a native speaker of English and Spanish, I offer a wide variety of language courses tailored to your needs and abilities.
I hold a First class Master's degree in Geography and Geosciences (MSc), reflecting my great passion for the Environment and Nature that surrounds us, a Postgraduate Certification in Education (PGCE) and a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA).
I am currently a Geography University teacher and have been involved in AQA exam marking through all levels up to University.

Tutoring Experience

90% of my tutees score 9 at their GSCES and all of them score A/A* at A-levels!
• I have been taught up to GCSE/ A level Geography, Geology and Environmental Sciences for the last 5 years across a great variety of exam boards with over 3.5 years of experience with University Undergraduate students evaluating and proof-reading their dissertations both in Physical, Human Geography and Geology.
• I am also a professional English teacher with over 6 years experience of in private tutoring and preparing for English examinations for both UK students (GCSEs and A levels) and international ones (TOEFL, CELTA, Cambridge Certificates)
My extensive over 6 years of experience in a classroom setting, one-to-one & group online teaching and tutoring UK students has given me a great variety of insights into different teaching approaches. Last 3.5 years I have been employed as an academic professor/assistant across various universities in Scotland and the UK (University of Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Manchester and Queen’s University of Belfast) and as a private online tutor. Thus, I am very well-equipped to provide support and prepare students entering High-school, College and University, as I am perfectly familiarised with the requirements and skill-sets needed.

I have taught students taking GCSE/IGCSE, A Level, AP, Pre-U and IB exams – conducting all of my lessons online sourced independently or via tuition agencies. I have also taught some unconventional courses, such as BTECs, foundation year and degree level students. During my time as a tutor, I have covered all of the major exam boards for A Levels including AQA, OCR A &B, Edexcel, CIE, and EDUQAS including international CAIM and IGCSE Edexcel.
I estimate I have delivered around 7000 hours of 1:1 tutorials to students since 2018. I have taught Geography, Geology and English extensively. This has been done at all levels from Secondary school through to undergraduate level. I was covering the national syllabus, practical/experimental work, exam preparation and providing predicted grades, working with national and international students helping them catch up to their peers and filling their missing knowledge.

I present an extensive experience guiding students through their exam preparation and equipping them with the necessary skillset
My main focus is trying to wake up the passion and genuine interest in my students. Through creative and dynamic approaches I show the student a great variety of applications of what he/she is learning in the real world. We start by addressing students' weaker areas and solidifying their knowledge and understanding in these fields, while we develop overall confidence in the subject necessary for the top scores.
We build conceptual and subject-based skills working over case studies so the students are better prepared for the pressure of exams. Here we develop subject-focus following the syllabus carefully. My lessons can focus on developing the necessary skill-set, revision, current coursework/homework or exam preparation.
