My name is Jâms Coleman and I’m an enthusiastic and experienced tutor of Music, Maths, Physics and Welsh. I read Music at the University of Cambridge and then graduated with an MA (Masters) in Piano Performance from the Royal Academy of Music (Distinction).
I am a first-language Welsh speaker and can teach through the medium of Welsh or English.
I regularly teach privately in schools, one-to-one and online and also have experience teaching for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, for the International Music School (Kings Monkton School, Cardiff) and for Camden Music Service. As part of the Musicians Company in London I have taught in many schools giving music lessons to classes of a variety of ages.
I am set up for online teaching, using zoom or skype. I am happy to help with Primary or Secondary syllabuses, and am available for help with university applications, or interview preparation.
The variety of my teaching experience means that I am able to carefully tailor my tuition to my pupils' individual needs. At the core of my teaching is that the learning process should be enjoyable and exciting. With a well-managed set of aims and achievements I have found that pupils can enjoy the lessons while also achieving their goals.
