I recently left a PhD in Pure Mathematics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to pursue an EdTech startup with a friend. However, my love for teaching and mathematics still burns bright, and I find immense joy in tutoring students of all ages. A few years ago I attained a distinction in Applicable Mathematics MSc from LSE. Before that I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first class honours degree in Mathematical Sciences. And further back than that, I attended Reigate Grammar School for my GCSEs and A-Levels. When I'm not tutoring, you'll find me producing music, table top gaming or indulging in my love for all things film.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored countless numbers of GCSE and A-level students, helping them get the grades they need and deserve! I have had involvement in tutoring mathematics across a wide range of circumstances. My experience ranges from assisting students get into their first choice universities to helping international students adjust to a different curriculum. At the further ends of the spectrum, I have run a junior maths club at Reigate St Mary's, my own alma mater, as well as running many problem classes at LSE, tackling problem sets on the whiteboard for large classes of undergraduates.

Tutoring Approach

I have a friendly, confidence-building approach to teaching. If not voiced by the student already, I like to highlight particular areas that the student struggles on and then show them various examples on the topic. Practicing past papers are a must as they help to highlight the key areas that need working on. While grasping the fundamental concepts is crucial, I firmly believe that in subjects like mathematics, mastering exam techniques is equally essential. I also supply my own revision notes for A-level maths and the majority of the further maths syllabus.
