I am Head of Religious Studies at Wirral Grammar School for Girls. Here I lead a successful department which recently achieved over 50% Grade 9 at GCSE and 15% A* at A-level.

I have two young sons and love my job. I especially enjoy the philosophy elements of the A-Level course.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught at three school during my teaching career, and been a Head of Department at two since 2014. I have tutored various pupils since 2015, sometimes as a supplimentary to their school studies and sometimes as a sole teacher for home schooled pupils (most recently to a pupil who achieved a GCSE Grade 8).

Tutoring Approach

My approach differs depending on what is needed. My key philosophy is that people should enjoy their learning as they learn better if they do. I aim to build a pleasant atmosphere and try to have fun during sessions too.

Crucially my approach is whatever works best for the person who needs it!
