James tutored my son for 9 months up to him re-taking his A level Economics this year.
He was extremely reliable and did not miss one lesson during this time.
My son struggled with his education during lockdown but he really looked forward to all his lessons with James.
He found James to be extremely knowledgeable and an excellent teacher and
he feels confident that he will achieve a much higher mark this year.
I would recommend James very highly to anyone considering engaging him as a tutor.

A few months ago I wanted to try some casual adult learner Japanese lessons online and I came across James's profile. Seeing that he is bilingual in Cantonese / English like myself I thought it might make learning this third language a little easier, and so I made arrangements to begin some online classes with him.

From the very beginning James was already proactive and responsive; he reached out to confirm the goals of my studies and my level / experience with the language so far. Having clarified that we began our weekly lessons. We are currently working steadily through "minna no nihongo" which provides us with a clear and structured path to my learning.

James is an excellent Japanese tutor. He is very accommodating and professional. Due to my unpredictable schedule he will proactively reach out on lesson days to confirm if we can go ahead with the lesson, and he always shows up on time and ready to start. He is patient and supportive, and is very good at explaining difficult concepts; the bilingual part definitely makes these easier to grasp. His Japanese is also very good and I'm very impressed with his knowledge of not just the language itself but also the Japanese culture.

I have no hesitation in recommending James if you are interested in studying Japanese; can't go wrong with him. Thank you James!

James is very good teaching cantonese in-person and online. We suggested our preferred topics and themes and sourced our own worksheets. James was very helpful following these and guiding us through these together. He even helped us learn some simple nursery rhymes and songs.

We are yet to engage with James's services fully, but all contact with him so far for Economics teaching has been excellent and very supportive.

My son is very happy with the tutoring he is having from James. James is very organised and professional, and they seem to get a lot done in each session. Most importantly my son really enjoys his lessons and looks forward to them each week,

We have had James for over a year now. I was initially very reserved as he looked very young (perhaps that is just a reflection on the fact that I am getting older), please don't let that put you off he has been a pleasure to have. My son has really related well to him. He obviously works hard with my son and we have been seeing the results of the effort that he has put in.
James is Chinese and his english is fantastic as is his great work ethic !!
We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him.
