Reliable, helpful and most importantly shows my child the 1 on 1 attention to explain how to create the answers the examiners maybe looking for and why- highly recommended to everyone not just at GCSE level.

James is an excellent tutor who is very flexible, supportive and encouraging. My children never complain about extra tuition and he often goes out of his way to help with other subjects, couldn't recommend enough.

James has quickly build a good rapport with my son who says the sessions (covering different study skills) are very useful. Very happy so far.

James has been brilliant, supporting our daughter with GCSE maths and English. He is kind, reliable, caring and professional and seems to genuinely enjoy tutoring. He is a skilled communicator and has placed a strong emphasis on boosting confidence and technique to improve exam performance. We are extremely happy that we found James and would recommend him without any reservation.

James is approachable, punctual and flexible, which works well for us. He has tutored our son for his upcoming GCSE for two seasons now. Our son says the sessions have been really helpful and feels more ocnfident, even after 2 sessions, of achieving a good grade.

Such a genuine nice chap… Works well with my son, who is so much more confident now. Works at my sons pace to ensure he " gets it" and has many different ways to tackle a maths problem so my son can find the one that works for him.

James has really inspired more confidence in my daughter's Maths. He makes it fun to learn and she looks forward to his tutoring sessions.

James first started tutoring my son in iGCSE maths, for which he got an A this summer. Unfortunately, he needed to retake his English iGCSE and so we kept James on to tutor him in this subject. James is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. His superbly supportive teaching manner improved James' ability beyond measure and my son has said that he is quite sure he would not have achieved an A without James' help. In addition, he is hard working, professional, incredibly caring, excellent at explaining difficult topics and has a genuine interest in his tutees. We are so pleased that we decided to ask him to help our younger son with english and maths. Thank you, James, we are so grateful for all that you do - you are the best!

James was quick to reply and tried to organise a time and space to tutor my son. Unfortunately due to unforeseen family issues with regard to his own circumstances he was unable to come to the first and subsequent sessions. Although James did say he would try to find a space for my son at a different time he struggled then to find a space. We live a distance away and I guess the travelling time would have influenced his ability to do this. I read all his feedback and it was positive and he seems to offer an excellent tutoring service unfortunately we did not get to experience his teaching. I hope James family problems are resolved quickly and wish him all the best in the future.

James is a fantastic tutor. Professional, reliable and so very patient. I would not hesitate in recommending him for any tutoring. Our 11+ tutoring is coming to an end but we will most definitely be asking to use James again in the future if needs be.

James has tutored my daughter in French and Maths and she has made excellent progress feeling more confident in both subjects.

We can't get our daughter to do anything - but she can't wait for James to visit and is really enjoying her maths sessions with him! We are so grateful for having landed James as a tutor. Our son looks forward to every visit and doesn't see it as "tutoring" but as fun learning. James has a very supportive style and makes each session fun and informal while at the same time encouraging students to challenge themselves and become independent in their learning. I had to get a tutor for my 17 year old son, who has not been in school for over 2 1/2 years due to anxiety and depression.
James tutored my son for GCSE English language and maths. I cannot emphasise how patient, calm and understanding James was. There were a couple of sessions where my son wasn't coping and James made no fuss about it; just ensured by talking to me that he wasn't doing anything wrong, which he wasn't.
I am thrilled to be able to say that my son has just sat his exams without any problems. Even more remarkable is that my son took the higher papers and is feeling pleased with how he perceives he has done.
I would wholeheartedly recommend James. He has excellent subject knowledge, knows a wide range of teaching strategies and is very passionate about what he does and does it well.

James has been very communicative and we have organised a time and date for our first session. So far I have been very impressed with all the communication and James's friendly emails.

James has been excellent. He works really well with Alex and has built a really good relationship with him. Alex trusts and respects him and obviously sees Alex as someone who is there to help him do the best he can.

James has been the perfect tutor for my son Saahir in Year 10, and has helped him achieve excellent results in both English and Mathematics. He responds ASAP and is very understanding if Saahir is unable to commit to a lesson. I would highly recommend James as he is a patient, kind and intelligent tutor.

James has been teaching my two children (10 and 14) one term now and he's been excellent. His teaching methods are up to date and he uses modern teaching aids. The kids have really connected with him. Teaching focusses on what the kids are doing at school so is relevant and helpful. James also helps with homework that the kids have found difficult.

I would not hesitate to recommend James as an English tutor.

I am currently being taught french and I must say my tutor is fab!

He takes his time with me, adjusts to the way I learn, and goes at my pace.

James has been fab! He has quickly formed a great relationship with Freddie and is helping him enormously. He is working with both ourselves and Freddie's school teachers to provide a collaborative and joined-up service. He is well-organised, on time and is also introducing elements of the syllabus ahead of school to ease the way forward… We are chuffed to have found him and wish that we had known about him earlier!

My daughter has had a first session with James re Maths and is looking forward to more. He has quickly established a rapport and has already helped her confidence.

Unfortunately we were only able to have 1 session with James due to a sudden change in his circumstances. He was apologetic about the cancellation and fair with us. Communication was good and he responded to queries promptly.

James' friendly ability to explain, if necessary 10 times over without seemingly being put out, is a valuable skill in helping those who lack confidence in maths, grasp difficult concepts. After only two sessions he has helped our daughter feel more positive about her approach to the subject. We are delighted.

James is very good at explaining things and showing quicker methods to do things and is very easy to learn from. I would recommend him to anyone.

James has been great for my son. Two weeks before his GCSE I asked for James help. He got a G in his mock and is now on track to get a C. My sons confidence in his maths had grown immensely due to James patience and teaching skills.

James has been absolutely fantastic with my son, he has brought him on leaps and bounds and my sons confidence is at a high whilst he is working with James. James is very patient and is great at bringing out the best in my son.

James has been tutoring my son in Maths for 5 weeks now. James' style is perfect for my teenage son. He's patient, builds his confidence and creates a learning style that I feel has been tailored to my son. James also is interested to hear about my son's other interests (i.e. sports) and how his week has been - this extra touch I believe is really beneficial.
James is always on time and has never missed a session. I would thoroughly recommend James as a tutor.

The girls really like James and are therefore relaxed which means they take in more information and are not afraid to ask questions or say they don't understand. James gives them confidence by positive reinforcement and very quickly worked out what method of teaching suited each of them. He is flexible on timings and days making sure that everyone is happy. I would definitely recommend him.

James has struck up a good working relationship with my 16 year old son. They have worked hard together and I can see James' commitment to getting my son through his GCSEs. James is hard-working, communicative, punctual and personable.

James worked on a plan with our daughter to take her common entrants exam within a short space of time.

After only a few weeks my son is feeling very confident he can get the maths grade he needs for University. James has been teaching my son in such a way, that he is now actually "getting it" he is understanding far more now, than he ever has from school, and is actually learning far more than ever before, not bad for only an hours tutoring a week. James is a happy, likeable tutor, always punctual and reliable. I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone, especially those who have difficulty getting their heads around maths, because actually James has shown my son that he can do it given the right teaching method.
