Hi my name is Iqra and I am a third year medical student. I am passionate about teaching and would love to help others excel in their studies and achieve their goals.
I received 11 GCSEs in a range of subjects, including the core English, Maths and the three Sciences, as well as additional subjects such as Further Mathematics and Business Studies, achieving 7s and 8s. I also completed my A levels in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
I achieved 8, 9, 9 and 9 for my Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology GCSES, as well as 2 8s in English Literature and Language.

Tutoring Experience

I have vast expertise in both conventional and informal education teaching styles with students aged 12 to 18, having taught up to 15 hours in a two week period.

During my gap year, I engaged in full time private 1-1 and 1-2 in person tutoring and so have a broad understanding of the importance of tailoring my teaching style to suit the needs of the students. I have worked with school students extensively during my time in high school and sixth form, which has proven to be a success and they have come out with an average minimum of grade 7 and an overall average of grade 8.

Tutoring Approach

My most common teaching style is going through topics that students have raised concerns about, that they are now studying or will be studying in the near future. Many students, based on my previous experience, require instruction on how to answer problems in exams and how to revise, on top of requiring a helping hand in certain weak topics. I try to figure out what the students' goals are and what they struggle with, and then utilise that information to assist them work toward the grade they desire.
