Hi! I’m Ihtishaam, an experienced tutor (3+ years) with an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. I specialise in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics (GCSE & A-Level).

Tutoring Approach

I was lucky enough to be tutored during my school years, and it helped with my performance in school massively, so I know how important it is to have a great tutor! Every student is different, thus the lessons are personally tailored to cater to the individual needs of each student. For those students who are more independent, they will be supported with any specific problems/weaknesses they have in the subject, along with exam technique so they have the best chances of success on exam day. On the other hand, with students who have fallen behind in class and struggle to grasp the subject in its entirety, they will be handheld in every step by being taught concepts from the bottom up, allowing the student to fill gaps in their knowledge and regain a solid understanding of class material.

The lessons are designed to help students in overcoming difficulties and uncertainties in the subject, and simplify concepts that can initially be seen as complex. As a tutor with 3 years of experience and having taught numerous students, I am very understanding and patient, and I'm happy to go over the same thing as many times as it takes to make sure the concept is understood properly. I am known to be someone who can explain things clearly, and I bring this trait to my lessons. Previous students of mine have seen tremendous improvements in their grades and have thoroughly enjoyed my approach to teaching. My lesson environment is aimed to be as friendly and engaging as possible, and is definitely no place to judge anyone.
