Tutoring Experience

I have 1 year's experience tutoring GCSE students in Chemistry from within school as well as recent experience of the GCSE and A level syllabuses so I am able to give effective, personable tutoring.

Tutoring Approach

I believe every student is unique and therefore requires unique tutoring, helping students step by step through problems allowing them to think for themselves and therefore are more likely to be able to tackle similar problems in the future as well as encouraging participation and offering time for reflection allowing the content to sink in. I also ensure explanations are concise and clear in order to avoid any confusion in the learning process as well as encourage students to do some deeper reading in order to deepen their understanding. Continuous assessment is also important to track progress such as well mini tests and quizzes without the pressure that comes along with this in school.
