I am passionate about Biology and love my teaching. I have a first class honours degree and PhD and have been an examiner in the past. Please note that I only support the AQA board.
I am very proud of the success I have had with my private tutoring, having helped many students achieve the grades they need to gain entry to the university courses of their choice – including medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry.
Recently four of my students achieved A star, four got A and two got B. One said, "I would not have been able to achieve the A without your support and passion for the subject. I will not hesitate to recommend you, you have been great." Another said, "I got an A star and feel that the help you gave me made a real difference." Another said, "I got an A star with 298/300 marks, which is no doubt due to the time we spent together going over the hard parts of the syllabus."

Tutoring Experience

I have many successful years experience of teaching Biology in both independent and state schools and as a private tutor, and am well qualified in Biology and education. I have a first class honours degree and a PhD in Biology as well as a Master’s degree in Science Education.
I have helped many students from Godalming College, Alton College, Peter Symonds College, Marlborough College, Guildford High School, St Catherine’s School and Churcher's College.

Tutoring Approach

I love my subject and like to make my teaching as fun and interesting as possible.
I am patient and friendly and understand how difficult some of the topics can be for students. I feel I have a particular expertise in exam technique. One of the students I tutored this year said how much her confidence had improved thanks to my tutoring. I am very happy to make concise notes for the student on the topics we cover.
