I have a bachelors degree in biomedical science and a masters degree in pharmacology and drug discovery. After I had completed my masters I decided to go for my PGCE in order to become a qualified teacher as I enjoy teaching sciences

Tutoring Experience

I am currently in my second year of teaching.

My first year of teaching provided me with the knowledge & skill of online teaching, in which I taught both biology and chemistry from KS3 to KS5. In this time, I was teaching AQA syllabus.

During my second year of teaching, I taught in a smaller school (one to one teaching primarily and small groups). Here, I specialised with SEN students and high ability learners. My pedagogical experience of mental health has become proficient as a result of my time teaching at the school. I currently teach the AQA specification up to KS5

Tutoring Approach

I always start my lessons with a discussion so I find out what you know, what can you remember and if you can explain a key concept from a previous lesson. I would then give you exam questions before moving on with the lesson on to a new topic. After covering the topic I would give you some questions are the end to practice and apply the knowledge you have learnt.
